ROGER D, Nov 2016

This was one our last tours we took, it's a nice way to just relax and see some of the sea life that call the bay their home. It's not a big aquarium but it has some really nice features, make sure you take it in when in San Francisco.

I've been to the Pier 39 Bay Aquarium before and it has always been a great experience. The one thing that stands out is the touch-pool area when you can observe starfish, rays and small sharks extremely close-up. This was the first year I visited the aquarium at the Academy of Science which unfortunately blows Bay Aquarium out of the water, so to speak. Still, there is nothing wrong with the B

This was disappointing. Perhaps our expectations were a bit high considering we it’s located next to the ocean, but the overhead aquarium didn’t excite my 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter much. It would have been nice to see a larger variety of fish. It’s worth $8 at the most. Save your money for whale watching or some of the fun shops that offer fun souvenirs on Pier 39.

Kimmy Martin, Jan 1970

Such an exciting aquarium to walk through during these times! Social distancing protocols were taken seriously while still being able to enjoy seeing the animals. Took about 45 minutes to walk through the aquarium, and you can walk down Pier 39 to see all the beautiful sea lions after!!
